Something about this thin, middle-aged redhead that makes my heart melt. Not particularly a good voice, she delivers the material well, is brilliantly produced and covers the broken heart like no other. Unfortunately for Country Music, it looks as though Pattys best years may be behind her. I did see her live a couple times and her live delivery sounds just like the studio cuts (not all that rare in country music). Still when she was on top of her game, she was the best.
