From 1974 through 1977 or so the Eagles were my favorite band. I was particularly drawn to their unique western sound, not quite country but rooted there. My opinion was their best work came BEFORE Hotel California. Don Henley continues to be one of my heros however, in spite of the Eagles high-ticket prices and commercialism.
